Tidak ada alasan untuk tidak bisa #2

Baru saja membaca sebuah pengalaman dari orang yang luar biasa. Bahkan sampai-sampai pengalaman yang biasa pun bisa menjadi hal inspiratif. Apaagi dengan judul yang tidak berbelit-belit, atau sampai mengandung unsur puitis. "Tidak ada alasan untuk tidak bisa", menjadi pembuka hari yang sepi kai ini (lagi libur sih :p )

Pengalaman belajar bersepeda bukanlah hal yang luarbiasa. Jatuh bangun bersepeda pastilah pernah kita rasakan. Padahal saat itulah pelajaran "never give up" pertama kita. Untuk seorang Lutfi Mu'awan, hal ini lah yang mungkin menjadi pelajaran untuk sukses dikemudian hari dibalik kekurangannya.


Stop taking about some else, I want you to make your own story. Believe me or not, everyone have their own story, just because you've passed it, doesn't mean it can't be used as the lesson for tomorrow. Sometimes a flashback is a kind of lecturer for us, don't ignore it.


Entah mengapa berspeda merupakan hal yang sangat mengasyikkan waktu itu. Walaupun sering jatuh, biasanya tempat yang paling rawan luka adaah lutut dan siku, sampai nabrak pagar orang, berspeda merupakan suatu pembuktian bahwa kita pasti bisa. Apakah ini terkait dengan umur? Ataukah karena lugunya kita waktu itu yang membuat kita pantang menyerah? Mari kita bersama merebut semangat yang dulu ada pada kita. Keyakinan untuk bisa akan membuat kita untuk bisa.


Saya sendiri dulu pinginnya gendut. Dan saya terus berusaha hingga akhirnya saya gendut. Saya makan dengan semangat, walau saat itu saya bisa dibilang orang yang tidak suka makan. Bayangin aja, saya dulu target kalo makan itu harus 5 porsi! Sampe muntah-muntah sih, :p .  Tapi saya sih agak menyesal dengan keputusan saya waktu itu. Kenapa mau gendut kalo akhirnya ingin kurus lagi. Well, setidaknya itu adalah salah satu pelajaran "never give up" saya.

Saya bisa dibilang sangat beruntung, dirawat sama mama yang sayang banget sama saya. Anyway time is changed, and here I am :) Yes, it is hard to find my love to mother, but it is just easy for mom to love me. Sometimes, I ask for myself, why do I ask for fairness, while I myself can't effort the fairness itself. Entah bagaimana nantinya ketika saya sudah punya anak.


Fact that, dibalik kesuksesan kita semua ada air mata orangtua.


Entahlah, apa yang harus saya tulis disini. Kini saya pun belum bisa dibilang sukses. Masalahnya sih, jujur "my ego". Tapi sudah terlanjur jatuh ke lubang, kini sedang mencari tangga untuk kembali.Ingat orangtua yang makin rentan, pengen deh bahagian dia. Setidaknya suksesnya kita merupakan kebahagiaan tersendiri bagi beliau.


Saya bersyukur dengan prestasi saya kini, apalagi baru-baru ini saya diundang untuk menjadi co-director APMUN, memimpin sidang international gitu.. :D Maklum, saya mungkin terlalu ordinary, hingga prestasi seperti ini pun saya banggakan. Whatever you might say, this is a special gift to mom :D Belum bilang sih, tapi mom pasti tersenyum, kalo anaknya bahagia.


Dulu tu saya dibilang anak manja, karena mom tu terlalu perhatian "over protect" gitu. Tapi saya sih ga pernah claim, toh saya ga minta. Prinsipnya sih gitu aja, saya tidak manja karena saya tidak minta dimanja, tapi kalo dimanja, emangnya kenapa? Toh saya kini udah merantau, walau uang tidak cari sendiri, tapi makan cari sendiri. Sebenarnya sih ga dimanja-manja amat, in home itu kaya saya harus be the Best gitu. So everything should be perfect. Bayangin aja, dapat juara 2 atau 3 ga dianggap men di family saya. But it is just a little dust on the plate, that should be just ignored and let the wind get it away. Ga harus dicap mandiri untuk menjadi mandiri, buktinya saya yang dicap manja, sekarang mandiri. Just act the way you're lah. Of course stand still for what we believe.

The point is wherever and whoever we are, no reason to say give up, because our life is a special gift from our Most Understanding God. #God is Romantic

A Welcome For Newbie in Model United Nations

Since, I'm one of Jakarta Model United Nations CC, and true that much people get interested in Model United Nations (MUN), I would like to provide you a guide to be a delegate. Actually I got it from another MUN, which can be used as a references to be a good delegate.


Ok. first, what is MUN itself?
Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda.

The participants role-play as diplomats representing a nation or NGO in a simulated session of an organ (committee) of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems. More recently, simulation of other deliberative bodies, such as the United States National Security Council, has been included in Model United Nations, even if they are completely unrelated to the UN or international affairs as a whole. In general, the participants that the executive panel considers to be most contributing are given awards, such as 'Best Delegate award'. [wikipedia.org]

Simply, it is competition to gain its awards such as Best Delegate and another awards. Of course they will provide you prize for each award given.

MUN also have its database, I usually use http://bestdelegate.com/ you can simply use that link too, to find out more conference that being held. Also, they have shortlisted best delegates, ranks, and etc.

For Indonesians, you may join indonesiamuncommunity in mailist group. They provide update data about MUN information related to Indonesia of course.

In Indonesia itself which is I knew there are several MUNs, they are: Jakarta MUN, Jogja International MUN, ALSA E-Comp MUN (for senior high), Indonesia MUN, Diponegoro MUN (planned to be in National scale this year), Nusantara MUN. I also heard Presiden Univertisy would open their first MUN this year, hope that it would be soon though :) Three of those MUNs are in International scale, they are; Jakarta MUN, Indonesia MUN, and Jogja MUN. Nusantara MUN itself, is the first MUN which is officially organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairsof Indonesia.

Today we got, Harvard National MUN. Harvard World MUN, and Global MUN (officially organized by UN) as the biggest and most popular MUN. But unfortunately, Global MUN will not being held this year, hope that it'd be next year.
